A Meaningful Sarahmony Crafted Just For You

Serving Couples in Southern California including Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego & Riverside Counties

For over a decade I have had the pleasure and honor of creating, leading, and participating in many kinds of ceremonies. I particularly enjoy creating rituals that focus on the spiritual empowerment of women.

Unbeknownst to me, my training as a Wedding Officiant and Life Cycle celebrant began in 2004 while planning my own wedding with my husband Christopher. It would be another six years before I even became aware of what a Life-Cycle Celebrant was.

My fiancé and I had very strong feelings about what we wanted and what we didn’t want to include in our wedding ceremony. As we made plans toward married life, creating the ceremony became an amazing and invaluable experience in and of itself.

Together we dialogued and researched meaningful ritual elements and were able to create a ceremony that honored our unique relationship, expressed our true feelings, and reflected our core values.

Like most brides, my wedding day was one of the happiest moments in
my life. After our ceremony I felt as if I were walking on cloud 9. It was an exhilarating experience for me to share the ceremony that Christopher and I had created with our beloved family and friends. It was poignant, warm, and highly personal. I can still recall the amazing feeling of wanting to walk down the aisle over and over and over again.

My wish is for you to have a similar ceremony experience. I want you to have the time of your life on your wedding day, which begins with having a fabulous ceremony. When you work with me, I promise to craft a ceremony that resonates with your heart and your soul. Whether your wedding is small or large, formal or in the backyard, I will bring a creative flair and a personal touch to your ceremony!

Graduating from American University in Washington DC, I earned my BA in Graphic Design. Being creative has always brought me tremendous joy. I am lifelong spiritual seeker and creative spirit with a deep love and appreciation for art, religion, music, culture, and history. My extensive background and knowledge of aromatherapy and herbalism, allows me to infuse these elements into my ceremonies whenever appropriate.

As a graduate of the Celebrant Foundation & Institute, and an ordained non-denominational and interfaith Minister, I serve couples in Orange County, Los Angeles, Long Beach, San Diego, and Palm Springs, California. I believe that all occasions in life deserve to be celebrated through ceremony and it would be a great honor to work with you!

day of your life.

Much Love Always,

About Sarah

Fun facts about Sarah

I moved from New York to California in September of 2012.
My husband and I took three weeks to travel cross-country. We visited The Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, The
Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, Bryce Canyon and
The Grand Canyon. We slept in a cabin without electricity, a cabin with electricity, a Yurt, and a Tippi. It was an amazing adventure!
On March 6, 2004, I was married on the full moon in
La Quinta, California.
I love camping, hiking, and spending as much time in nature as possible. A new favorite pastime is walking along the beach with my husband.

I love how yoga brings inner peace and balance into my life.

Even though I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, I don’t have a southern accent.

Cooking healthy gourmet meals as well as make mouthwatering vegan desserts brings me tremendous joy. Some of my favorite cookbooks include "Angelica's Kitchen" by Leslie McEachern, "The Hip Chick's Guide to Macrobiotics" by Jessica Porter and “The Candle Café” by Joy Pierson, Bart Potenza and Barbara Scott-Goodman.

I love chocolate.

I make most of the cleansers that I use to clean my home. An excellent book that helped me get started is called “Clean House, Clean Planet” by Karen Logan.

I love to make my own homemade organic bath products and have an extensive book collection on essential oils and aromatherapy. My fizzing bath “tea cakes” are always a big hit with friends and family.

I grew up with a stepsister who is also named Sarah. We both spell our names with an “h” and are only three months apart in age. We went to the same school from 3rd grade until we both graduated from high school.

I am the oldest of 18 grandchildren.

When my mother surprised me with a flame point Himalayan for my birthday, I didn't like cats. Now a decade later, I have developed a genuine affection and love for all felines.

I am a HUGE fan of the original Star Wars trililogy & Jane Austen movies. My favorite TV shows are Suits, Friday Night Lights, and Downton Abbey.

I love playing board games especially Rummicub, Sequence,
Gestures, and Taboo.

I love spending time at my local public library. It has a working fireplace that I enjoy sitting next to while working on my laptop. When visiting my brother, I enjoy reading at the Encinitas library, which is fully equipped with outdoor seating, lounge chairs, and a view of the ocean.

I am a crafter who especially loves to sew, crochet, knit,
and make all kinds of things. After college I discovered the wonderful art of bookbinding and papermaking. In fact,
I made my own guest book for my own wedding.

Being creative makes me feel alive and brings joy to my life.
